QIST Foundation — Intellectual Property & Content Use

1. Ownership of Materials

Unless otherwise stated, QIST Foundation ("QIST") and its contributors retain all intellectual property rights in text, diagrams, models, logos, and other materials published on QIST websites.

This includes research articles, technical reports, standards drafts, diagrams, and conceptual models, except where a specific document or repository explicitly states different terms.

2. Use of Research and Educational Content

QIST publishes materials to advance scientific understanding and education. You may quote, reference, or link to QIST content for academic, research, or news purposes with appropriate attribution to QIST.

Except as permitted by applicable law (such as fair use or similar doctrines), you may not reproduce, modify, or distribute substantial portions of QIST materials in a way that suggests they are your own work or that QIST endorses your project, product, or service.

3. Logos and Trademarks

QIST names, logos, and visual identity elements are distinctive identifiers of the QIST Foundation. They may not be used without prior written permission from QIST, except for nominative fair use (for example, accurately referring to QIST in text).

4. Open-Source Software and Code Samples

When QIST releases software or code under an open-source license, that code will typically be accompanied by a LICENSE file or license notice in the relevant repository or distribution.

Your rights and obligations for such code are determined by the applicable open-source license. In the event of any inconsistency between that license and this page, the explicit license terms for the code will prevail.

5. Requests for Permission

For uses of QIST content that are not clearly covered by applicable law or by an existing open-source license, you may request permission by contacting:
